Mr. Colin Allport, a brewing consultant who worked at Heineken for over 35 years, stated that Taybeh is already producing a first class beer by any standards.


 

1.     What was Nadim Khoury's Goal in making the first palestinian beer?

He wanted to contribute to Palestine. Political independence depends on economic independence.

2.     Why did Nadim Khoury name his beer TAYBEH?

"Taybeh" in Arabic means delicious. Also, the microbrewery is located in the historical town called "Taybeh," where the Khoury family maintains deep roots.

3.     Why is Nadim's signature on every bottle?

Nadim has a personal commitement to premium quality beer. By signing each bottle he is justifying that every stage of the beer brewing process is personally supervised.

4.     What is unique about Taybeh Beer?

It is made according to the German purity law 1516 which states that the beer should be made out of four basic natural ingredients: malt, hops, pure water, and yeast. It is a high standard beer that follows the purity law in every aspect of its process. It is basically the natural choice. Mr. Khoury prides himself in buying the best quality raw materials.

5.     Why did Taybeh Beer become the first Palestinian franchise to be sold in German market?

The reason behind the success is Taybeh's high quality standards, fine ingredients and taste. In addition to following the German purity law, it is being brewed with hops from Germany. The license to brew in Germany was given on 07/01/97.

6.     Do you offer tours of your brewery?

Yes, we offer complimentary tours at the Taybeh Brewing Company. It is advised to call especially if you have a large number in your group.

7.     What is the best time to visit?

We recommend you visit the Taybeh Brewery during the morning hours, but guests are welcomed at any time.

8.     Are you open on Sundays?

The Taybeh Brewery is officially closed for business all day on Sunday but brewery tours are possible in the afternoon hours by appointment.

9.     What are the brewery hours?

The Taybeh Brewing Company is open for business Monday through Saturday,

from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

10.     How long does it take to have a Taybeh Brewery tour?

On the average, most visitors can see the Taybeh Beer process in less than thirty minutes depending on their questions and interest. Visitors can follow their own pace and are welcomed to stay and enjoy a Taybeh Beer!

 

11.     Is smoking allowed?

We recommend that everyone avoid smoking in the Taybeh Brewing Company facilities.

12.     Are cameras allowed?

We welcome all of our visitors to take pictures and tell others about Taybeh Beer!

13.     Do you offer beer samples?

Yes! We invite you to enjoy a complimentary glass of Taybeh Beer.

14.     Will I be able to get a souvenir?

Every visitor receives a complimentary item to remember their visit to the Taybeh Brewery. We do have Taybeh Beer on sale in our gift shop as well as other related articles and merchandise.

15.     How has the current situation in the Occupied Territories affected Taybeh Beer?

The Taybeh Brewing Company has experienced the same hardships as all other business operating under siege and severe closure since September 2000. The Taybeh Beer employees have shrunk in size due to the poor economy in the region. We have great hope for a better future of peace and democracy.
